Happy October, friends! I’m so glad this month is finally here because I LOVE October and fall! I’ve already got my Halloween decorations out and I’ve rearranged my closet so my colder clothes are front and center. Now I’m just patiently waiting on the Oklahoma weather to cooperate. Tick Tock.
While waiting for the cool weather, Blush Norman and I styled this amazing two-piece cactus outfit with duster combo. In this “Cactus Times Two” outfit we wanted to highlight the two-piece trend, which is still hot and heavy in the fashion world. The base of the outfit is cream, with colored cacti in patterns on it, which allows for versatility when styling accessories or handbags.
In addition to being super cute, this outfit feels like the warmest and softest pair of pajamas. This comfy look also has an elastic waistband for those of you (who like me) have had way too many PSL or pieces of pumpkin bread already.
The duster paired over top gave this outfit the perfect fall touch. This season I’ve really fallen in love with dusters and how versatile they are. For example, you can dress them down with distressed shorts and booties or up with skinny jeans and stilettos. In this case, we dressed it up adding heels and a few accessories. This beige duster from Blush Norman is lightweight, long enough for tall girls, and has buttons on the sleeves so if needed they can be rolled down to the wrists. I prefer the ¾ inch sleeves as those allow for arm jewelry to be seen.
Looking down at the shoes we thought the brown fringe booties retailing for $49 would look killer with this look- and they do! I remember these being a hot commodity last season and they continue to be this year. With slight block heels, these booties are a great accessory to add to jeans, skirts, or even casual dresses.
As always, I love to thank my partners who work with me on posts. A big shout out to Blush Norman for having the cutest fall arrivals and working with me on my first fall posts!
