Cold Shoulder Casual

The weather in Oklahoma has been ALL over the place. One day it is in the 70s, and the next you need a knee-length coat with fur around the hood. With weather like this, choosing an outfit can easily become a difficult chore. With this look (and weather), I tried to opt for a cold shoulder casual vibe.

I purchased this off-the-shoulder blouse this past summer at H&M (one of my favorite stores) in Vegas. I’ve worn this top with denim shorts, skinny jeans, white bottoms, you name it. It is truly so versatile and very comfortable. The navy stripe detail in the top offers a classic vibe and when paired with classic sneakers, your outfit instantly becomes stylish. Plus, it’s not a tight off-the-shoulder, which I prefer. I’m more of a flowy blouse girl.

For summer, I adore this top with light denim distressed cut-off shorts. You can pair it with sandals or white sneakers and it looks effortlessly chic. In the winter, I prefer this top with my tight, dark Banana Republic skinny jeans. These jeans are a little crop and show off a pinch of my ankle skin, which I like. By wearing jeans that show a little skin here, it elongates your legs.

Now to the converse. Ahhh, the age old Chuck Taylor’s. I’ve literally had (and been wearing) these since my sophomore year in high school- about nine years ago. They are a little off-white now, and the soles are grungy, but they continue to be one of my favorite pairs of shoes. They are SO comfortable, look classic and pair nicely with multiple outfits. I will never rid of these and suggest you not to either.
