Spring might be my favorite season, ranking in after fall. I love the excitement of tornado season, looking around and seeing flowers blooming, and getting all new spring attire. For this post, I am showcasing a spring must have- a peplum top.

For those of you who may not know what a peplum top is, it is a blouse that distinctly flows outwards around the waist. Often times it is cinched. It is super flattering and allows for women to hide their areas around the waist if need be.

Although I’ve owned a few peplums throughout the years, I tend to gravitate towards flowy and loose peplums and away from tighter styles. For example, this one from Antique Garden is a loose style that fits easily over the waist and is flattering. It is short-sleeve and is cool for those hot days, too. Here is another from Antique Garden in a similar style.

To style a peplum, you can go a variety of ways and pair either a longer pair of shorts with it or opt for a great pair of jeans. Since it’s spring and white jeans are a favorite of mine, I chose to style this peplum with the Hong Kong Free People jeans, again from Antique Garden, retailing for $78.

This particular style of jean is great for women who are looking for a crop fit around the ankle. They fit snug just above the ankle and allow for a great pair of shoes to be shown off. Free People’s jeans are not too low either, which is a plus for me. This pair sits a little above my waist and doesn’t welcome any kind of draft. 🙂

My shoes are an oldie but goodie from Sam Edelman. I’ve talked about them many times on the blog, but honestly, you guys, they need no introduction. They are comfortable, lightweight, and so easy to style. They are linked here.

To add a pop of detail to the outfit, I chose this beautiful stone necklace from The Clothing Bar also in Norman. In addition to this color and style, they offer many others to choose from at a great price. This necklace is SO CUTE and was only about $30- a total steal.

To close, the star of this outfit is definitely the faded navy peplum. I cannot rave about this enough, y’all. These types of tops look so good on about everyone and pair well with blue jeans, denim, shorts, or even business pants.

If you are looking to purchase a top like this or jeans like this, or even jewelry or shoes, I highly recommend shopping at Antique Garden on Campus Corner in Norman. PLUS, you receive a 20% off discount code when you enter GRAYREPORT20 at checkout online or in store. I do not receive any commission off sales, but I know Antique Garden appreciates all the support from fellow shoppers.

If you’re not following them on social media I’ll leave their handles below. Thanks for reading, friends!
